Reading & Leeds 2009

Bramham Park - Leeds
28th - 30th August

This year's Reading & Leeds festival lineup is the not-to-miss festival of the year. At Leeds, Kings of Leon round off the weekend after Arctic Monkeys and Radiohead top the bill. The festival is shaping up to be one long party with the strongest all-round field of talent of this years festivals.

Friday starts the party with White Lies, Gossip return with a new single while Eagles of Death Metal, Enter Shikari and Maximo Park will rock the Main Stage as a great build up to The Prodigy who have been taking the UK by storm after their comeback with their album "Invaders Must Die". Arctic monkeys then headline for their fist time at Leeds having been second on the bill to Muse in 2006.

Saturday then continues the party with newcomer duo La Roux performing on the Festival Republic stage, Deadmau5 on the Dance Stage, New York's Vampire Weekend building up to Yeah Yeah Yeahs on the Main Stage, with Leeds Festival favourites Bloc Party on before the evening's finale - Radiohead.

The festival Republic stage then hosts Marmaduke Duke on Sunday, while Faith No More entertain the NME/Radio 1 stage. Rock takes centre stage in the afternoon for Funeral For A Friend, Deftones, Fall Out Boy and the fantasic Placebo. Kaiser Cheifs then make their 'official' return home to Leeds after we saw them appear on the Carling stage as "Hooks for Hands" in 2007. Kings of Leon then close out the weekend.
