"True Love 1980"
is the first in quite an ambitious project for Ash where they plan to release a single every fortnight, with this being the first, in what will be a collection of 26 limited edition 7" and download singles in what the band are calling the A-Z series.

"True Love 1980" continues with the electro stylings that started with "Return Of The White Rabbit". The song still contains all the hallmarks of an Ash song with their trademark hooks and Tim Wheelers ear for a good pop tune still in place but with the added element of synthesisers, which I don't think I have ever heard Ash use until very recently ( I am sure that there are Ash fans out there just waiting to correct me on this on). All in all a really good pop song and a very ambitious project that I am sure has tested the bands creativity to the fullest.

7/10
